THE BATHHOUSE - ALBION

The Albion Bathhouse is designed as a retreat that integrates architectural sophistication with sensory relaxation. At its core, three pools of varying temperatures are situated within a central room. This space, defined by low lighting and glowing pools, evokes the volume and atmosphere of a firelit cave. Materials such as silver travertine, along with subdued lighting and textured surfaces, are used to create a carefully considered atmospheric effect. The central fire serves as both a focal pointand a means to encourage rest and introspection.

The spatial arrangement of the bathhouse is purposefully organized to create a sense of separation from external environments. Visitor stransition through a series of interconnected rooms including; steam rooms, saunas, and a flotation space- experiencing deliberate variations intemperature, lighting, and aroma. This progression is designed to support relaxation and facilitate a reflective, restorative experience.

Through its holistic approach to wellness, the Albion Bathhouse demonstrates how intentional architectural design can enhance both functionality and the user experience, offering an environment that prioritizes mental and physical well-being.
